1. Information We Process

We may process basic account information required to authenticate you, such as your name, email address, profile identifier, and session details provided through supported sign-in methods. We also process the information you actively submit while using the service, including lesson topics, class details, template selections, uploaded materials, instructions, and document preferences.

2. Google Workspace and Document Data

Where the platform integrates with your Google account, ForgeEdu does not receive a general right to view, browse, monitor, or use the contents of your Google Drive. We do not use your Google Drive as a source of unrelated files, and we do not access broader Drive information outside the limited identity and permission flow required to identify you and complete the requested document-sharing action.

In practical terms, documents generated through the platform are stored in ForgeEdu-controlled Google accounts or workspaces, and are then shared to the user using the Google account identity the user has authorized for that purpose. This means the platform is not operating as a tool that reads through a user's own Google Drive library, and it is not using unrelated files in a user's Drive for its own purposes.

3. How Information Is Used

Information is used to operate the service, generate requested documents, apply selected templates, support export and file-creation workflows, maintain session continuity, and improve reliability of the product. We may also use technical records for troubleshooting, service monitoring, abuse prevention, and internal product maintenance.

4. User Control and Ownership

You remain responsible for the content you submit to the platform and for how you use any generated outputs. Where a document has been shared with your Google account, you may manage your own access and any copies available in your own workspace. Documents and service-side working records controlled by ForgeEdu remain subject to ForgeEdu's own platform administration and retention practices.

5. Retention

ForgeEdu may retain generated documents, limited operational records, configuration references, and service logs for as long as reasonably necessary to provide the service, maintain platform integrity, comply with legitimate business or legal obligations, and resolve technical issues. Where files have also been shared to or copied into a user's own workspace, retention of those user-controlled copies will depend on that user's own account actions.

6. Sharing and Third-Party Services

We do not describe the platform as a general-purpose data broker or advertising network. However, the service necessarily relies on third-party infrastructure and integrations, including authentication, hosting, cloud services, and Google-connected tools. Information may therefore be processed through those providers to the extent needed to deliver the requested functionality.

7. Security

ForgeEdu takes reasonable steps to protect service data and account access, but no online service can guarantee absolute security. Users should also protect their own Google accounts, login credentials, shared devices, and document permissions, especially when working with school materials or student-related content.

8. Updates to This Policy

This Privacy Policy may be updated from time to time to reflect product changes, operational needs, legal requirements, or integration updates. Continued use of the service after changes take effect may be treated as acceptance of the revised policy.
